Food of Pakistan

The food in Pakistan is usually very spicy. Most people love beef and chicken dishes. Although, different dishes are famous depending on the locals of different cities but still there are few dishes which are famous all over Pakistan.

The most famous food which people like is Biryani. It consists of Rice and beef/chicken cooked with lots of different spices. In most wedding ceremonies, Biryani is a must.

In Sindh Province, people have a different version of Biryani which is known as Sindhi Biryani. It also includes Potatoes along with other ingredients.

In Balochistan Province, people love Sajji. It is made in a different manner. They take a full goat and fill it with rice and then seal it. Then it is roasted in steam and on coals.

Punjab province is famous for food because people there are crazy about food. The famous dishes in Punjab are Karhai Gosht, Daigi Chargha (Roasted chicken), Siri Paye, Tandoori chicken etc. Punjab is also famous for its drinks like Lassi (Made from yogurt) and Thanda Doodh (Milk with dry fruits like Pistachio etc.)

N.W.F.P province is famous for their Qabooli Pulao (A different version of Biryani with fewer spices). The Sajji which is made in Balochistan is also very famous in N.W.F.P. The famous drink is Qehwa which is kind of Green Tea. It is a must for people there after dinner.
